PLN, a state-owned electricity company, recognized the need to improve the UI/UX of their mobile application to meet increasing user demands. The main goal is to provide all electrical services in 1 simple application. Vhiweb as the office I work in, together with McKinsey, was appointed to spearhead this transformation, with a focus on improving the user experience while integrating exciting new features.

ABOUT

Makes it easier for PLN customers to pay for all electricity needs anywhere and anytime

The challenge is as thrilling as entering a haunted house. The old PLN application worked but lacked the ease and convenience that customers crave in this digital era.


We aim to transform the app into a dynamic digital companion. This involves simplifying paying for prepaid and postpaid electricity and adding features such as Gamification programs, Notifications for electricity payment due dates, EVs, Internet and most recently solar panels.


The app interface needs a fresh and fun design to attract users. Every interaction must be intuitive and enjoyable, making the PLN Mobile application a one-stop destination for the needs of all communities.

NEW LOOKS & EXPERIENCE

Refreshing the looks and feel to make it playful

We began by redesigning the app’s interface to be more fresh and playful, incorporating new icons and illustrations that added a vibrant touch. This visual overhaul aimed to create an inviting atmosphere that enhanced the overall user experience.
